Has anyone had a wedding ceremony/reception in a park pavilion? Would love to hear your experiences!

Yeah! My best friend got married at a park, the pavilion (not sure I’d call it that, had three walls made of stone and a huge fireplace, like a fancy lean to lol) and it went without a hitch! FH, who was an Eagle Scout, was in charge of all the fires to keep everybody warm, it was beautiful! The only “issue” to some may be that they have a curfew that you have to be out by and you need all decorations put up and taken down within that time frame.

I've rented them for birthday celebrations, not weddings. They had strict scheduling (so like PP said, there was a specific time that cleanup had to be done and a you couldn't set up earlier than the booked time), also make sure you can have alcohol if you're wanting a cocktail hour, because a lot where I grew up didn't allow alcohol.

I haven’t done this but I looked into it. Noise ordinances may prevent you from playing music, and you don’t have any control over who comes and goes through the background for photos, or over the noise other people in the park make during vows, etc. But it does sound fun. My fiancé wouldn’t go for it, and ultimately what turned me against the idea was that I decided I wanted dancing after all.
