I would have never thought I'd agree to have a pig roast on our menu, but I did! It always seemed kind of "hillbilly-ish" to us, but it was SO delicious at our taste testing. Has anyone every been to a wedding reception that served pork from a pig roast? If so, what did you think?

My cousin had a Hawaiian themed wedding, reception had a big park, and caterers roasted the pig... it was awesome.

I am actually gonna be doing a pig roast for my picnic theme wedding. But also gonna have a second choice of shredded beef. I am so excited for this idea and the fact that it's only costing me about $12 a person is even better. =)

I live in Miami, so pretty much every party has a pig roast. It's a big Cuban tradition. I have never seen it in a wedding, but I'm sure it will be delicicous! Everybody will love it!

I've been to an italian wedding where the porchetta was brought out with the midnight buffet. someone posted a pic on page 1 that looks almost identical to the porchetta that was served. Smiley smile

FH asked if we could include it in our midnight buffet too (he's part italian).

We just went to one the week before we got engaged. it was good but it has to be done RIGHT. there are several ways to get it wrong. and of course you ALWAYS want to have an experienced carver do the carving...they didn't and it ended up being a bit of a mess lol
