Has anyone else worn flats or Kate Spade Glitter Keds for their wedding?

Hey ladies, So...I just can't walk in heels. It's an affliction I have dealt with for years, lol. I figure, on my wedding day, if I even attempt it I'll be face first in a glob of grass while walking down the aisle. Also, I'm not trying to nurse a bunch of rude blisters while dancing. Hey ladies,

So...I just can't walk in heels. It's an affliction I have dealt with for years, lol. I figure, on my wedding day, if I even attempt it I'll be face first in a glob of grass while walking down the aisle. Also, I'm not trying to nurse a bunch of rude blisters while dancing. So, one of my lovely MOH's came up with the idea for the Kate Spade Glitter Keds and I LOVE it. Since my dress is blush, I'd be wearing the Rose Gold color and bridesmaids will be wearing the platinum gold as gold is one of our accent colors. They'll be in navy blue. What do you guys think? Has anyone else gone this route? Is it totally inappropriate? I'm one of those girls who just never pays much attention to feet, so maybe I'm an outlier. I'll post a pic of my gown and then the pic of the shoes we intend to go with. Yay or nay?

I didn't get anything glitter on the shoes because a bride I was talking to at the bridal salon said the glitter shoes kept catching on the dress. Just FYI

It's a cute look for a bride, but I would be so annoyed as a BM if I had to buy expensive glittery shoes I would literally never wear again. Do they really have to match you?

Flats for me too! I'm going to buy plain ivory ones and decorate them myself.

I thought about the keds but saw reviews they aren't good if you have wide feet. I actually bought a regular pair of keds for a vacation earlier in the year and they were incredibly uncomfortable on my feet, my heels bled and pinky toes blistered.

But I bought regular Kate spade glitter flats and I LOVE them!

I am wearing flats on my day for the exact same reason! I was just thinking of some really sparkly sandals though, I never thought of those! I think they're adorable!! Go for it!

I bought some hoping to wear them for our wedding because I also cannot wear heels and my FH is only a half inch taller than me...but they just didn't fit right. I'm on the hunt for something similar though because I just loved them and think they're a fantastic, versatile, adorable sparkly option! Anyone who found similar flats or sneakers, let me know your recommendations!

Go for the flats for sure, but IMO with that gorgeous of a dress; try to get a ballet style shoe. The Kate Spade sparkly ones looked super cute.

I think the Keds are way to casual for that look. I have some Sam Edelman ballets that I wear almost daily and I LOVE THEM!! I splurged and got Tieks for our day though.. I figure that they are gorgeous, and I'd get the use out of the money I spent on them.

I also have to walk down these "great" stairs and the ceremony is outside. Any heel would be sinking and i'd be afraid of breaking an ankle.

Posted my dress and my shoe.

I haven't had my wedding yet, but have already ordered and received my cream-colored Kate Spade Glitter Keds for my wedding! My FH is only a couple of inches taller than I, do height has never been an issue. I just really want to be comfortable on my wedding day; I wear Keds all the time for walking around town, so this was the obvious choice. I'm so thrilled to see I'm not the only person with this mindset!

I'm hoping to wear the Kate Spade glitter Keds. I will need to try them on first though bc I've read they aren't true to size and I also don't have a dress yet so I will need to make sure they work with my dress.

Wow, you ladies are all so awesome. Thank you SO much for the advice and comments!

I know for some to buy glittery tennis shoes as a bridesmaid it's kind of annoying but I reached out to everyone and asked them multiple times to tell me if they weren't into it or interested in purchasing and they all kept saying they wanted to go with them so I will trust what they say. It sucks -- I wish I could surprise them and gift them the day of but, alas, wedding itself is eating mine (and parents') wallets as it is.

All of your shoe recs and options are awesome. For some reason I thought as a bride you HAVE to wear heels but hearing ya'lls input is way inspiring to me so thank YOU!!!! XX

I have the Kate Spade glitter sneakers, but I'm starting to rethink it. They are slightly too big in the heel, but the next half size down was too tight in the toes. They are also very stiff and not really able to be broken in because of the glitter. I thought it would be okay, but I just happened to put on a pair of glittery American Eagle flats I have had for years on and they are more comfortable, and look great with my dress, I'm definitely rethinking it. Only thing that's holding me back is that the Kate Spades are no longer returnable. It's totally okay to wear them though - nothing inappropriate about it! I think getting creative with the shoe choice on the wedding day is awesome.
