Has anyone else worn flats or Kate Spade Glitter Keds for their wedding?

Hey ladies, So...I just can't walk in heels. It's an affliction I have dealt with for years, lol. I figure, on my wedding day, if I even attempt it I'll be face first in a glob of grass while walking down the aisle. Also, I'm not trying to nurse a bunch of rude blisters while dancing. Hey ladies,

So...I just can't walk in heels. It's an affliction I have dealt with for years, lol. I figure, on my wedding day, if I even attempt it I'll be face first in a glob of grass while walking down the aisle. Also, I'm not trying to nurse a bunch of rude blisters while dancing. So, one of my lovely MOH's came up with the idea for the Kate Spade Glitter Keds and I LOVE it. Since my dress is blush, I'd be wearing the Rose Gold color and bridesmaids will be wearing the platinum gold as gold is one of our accent colors. They'll be in navy blue. What do you guys think? Has anyone else gone this route? Is it totally inappropriate? I'm one of those girls who just never pays much attention to feet, so maybe I'm an outlier. I'll post a pic of my gown and then the pic of the shoes we intend to go with. Yay or nay?

I am wearing flats. My dress will cover my feet anyways so it won't matter

Two of my SIL wore converse in their weddings. The whole BP did. One was pink and other purple. It looked better than I imagined and was totally awesome with their personalities, whereas I'm more princess. They were comfortable at their wedding, meanwhile I wore $200heels! Agh! I was dying in those things! Of course nobody let me sit down at all! Definitely wished I would have gone with comfort more than princess shoes. Also to have someone follow behind me with a chair or stool.

I'm wearing the glitter keds to my wedding. I've been wearing them around the house because they're so comfy!

I wore the Cole Haan Sadie. It is a wedge with a barely an inch or so of a heel. My DH and I are practically the same height so any shoes I wore had to be the height of a kitten heel or less. The shoes are unbelievably comfortable (like all his shoes IMO). Good luck!!

Your gown is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will either go with the Kate Spade or something similar that I can throw a shoe insert in.

I bought the Kate Spade rose gold pair online through Keds.com because they had 20% off + eBates. I ordered them based on the Target tennis shoes I had, and the KS were a little too big for me. I returned them. I saw Kate Spade had a sale later, + better eBates cash back. I should have bought them, because they are absolutely adorable. I'm sure there will be another sale coming up; but I know not to pay more than $68 for them.

I think they would look great with your dress (which is gorgeous btw!!).

If you require the bridal party to wear them as well, you should pay for theirs.

I wore glittery toms! Best decision ever. We got married on grass and first look on the beach and I could dance allllll night. I am not a heels girl. Check them out!

I plan to get the Kate Spade keds too! I don't wear heels and I just want to be comfortable. Not sure if I want laces or no laces. I've heard they run a little small FYI.

I have heels for the ceremony but got the dark blue glitter Keds for my reception! Just remember to wear them a few times before the wedding, just to break them in. There are few things less comfy than brand new shoes, lol.

You ladies are awesome! Thanks so much for the input. I really am going for comfort, because as I mentioned (and many of you have seconded) that comfort is most important. It's looking like my bridal party is on board, so yay!

Only thing - I am not paying for them. I feel bad. But this wedding is already over our budget -- I thought we planned semi-well but everything is adding up and I just can't pay for everyone's stuff. I feel so guilty. I am giving them a spa day the day beforehand and will be paying for all of that. I am not asking them to have their nails done as their bouquets will be somewhat intricate and cover them for the most part. Now I am feeling weird about asking them to pay for their stuff..... ugh. Why are weddings so expensive?!! I know it's probably my fault but still. Dang.

Anyways thank you all for your opinions! I think with the skirt on my gown the shoes will be mostly hidden, but they will be fun to wear and fun for pics. I appreciate the encouragement. Keep sharing pics if you can Smiley smile

H and I are going to Disneyland for our honeymoon. I got a pair of Toms custom painted for the wedding day, and I'm bring them on our trip. They were definitely pricey but they are so beautiful and they were SO comfy and I'm so glad I did it!
