Has anybody done a signing poster instead of a guest book?

Original VC, on May 19, 2015 at 11:19 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

We're doing a map showing North America in white, the sea in blue, and little hearts on our home towns joined by a dotted line. The designer asked us to choose the size, but when we googled suggested sizes for something like this we got a huge range of results.

Did anybody have a signing poster instead of a guest book at their wedding? If so, which size worked for you? We'll have between 100 and 110 guests.

I'm doing a pallet board, so I guess a similar size to a poster.

That's actually a very cool idea. We're doing a chalk board (with chalk paint pens) for ours.

Printed this as a poster for our guests to sign. Ours is a 18x24.

ETA: that was the size that worked best since we needed room for 180 balloons. If we had 100 guests we would've gone with a 16x20.

We ordered a 16x20 poster, for approximately 110 guests. Not everyone signed, and couples often signed together, so this size ended up working well for us.

I'm tempted to steal JaKLyn's poster. Smiley winking

We're still deciding, but we are leaning towards a poster. A book will get shoved in a drawer while a poster can get hung in the home.

We have a 16x20 for around 100 guests...it's a tree. I think the leaves may be too small, but it's too late to fix it at this point. I would say that size would work for that many guests if they can sign anywhere...mine can only sign in little leaves, and the leaves are probably only 2/3 of the poster.

Thanks everyone! Love the three posters and the board Smiley smile Guess we should go with 16x20. I saw 18x24 suggested in two websites and figured that was too big.

@Jamie yours is almost like what we'll have Smiley smile love it!

Update - I was just told that if I add a frame that can be signed, maybe we can do a bit smaller. For those of you who had a 16x20 poster, did anyone/will anyone sign your frame as well?
