Doing that theme myself. Have tons of decor- probably too much lol!- but never know what wi be needed or not.
Using books & DVDs to set the table number up on. Those will be in black framed and Chapter title pages from the books w/ the number painted inside on the glass.
Each table is themed to the page title, about 20 tables. The flowers will all be basically the same, with added items to go with theme: “Forbidden Forest” has twigs and more greenery. “Whomping Willow” has branches... Then there will be the decor to go with the name: “Forbidden Forest” has werewolves and little trees, as well as Centaurs & a few other creatures.....
Escort cards will be set near “The Sorting Hat”. Wands at each place setting. With a name attached to it.
“Honeydukes”candy buffet will have the 4 “House colours” of rock candy, M&Ms, etc..
The sign will read “Pick a House, not a side” for the ceremony. And something cute to ask people to not get in the Photographer/videographers way.
Cocktails: His: “Fire Whisky” and Mine: “Chocolate Frogs”- mini chocolate martinis.
There will be a play on the food- chef has full control over that!
Cake will look “normal” on front, per FH request/desire and be “HP” themed on back.
Welcome bags will be in one of the four “House Colours” & include lots of items and a couple “HP”
All the VIPeople: parents, our respective children, aunts/uncles, siblings and wedding party will have the Universal Studios, expensive, pins. The rest of the people will have small “5-Below” buttons.
Have the “Platform 9 3/4” shower curtain to use as backdrop for photo booth. Wands and Witch/Wizard hats.
And tons of other ideas.....
