Is print too informal? I could do the thing where we run the envelopes through the printer in a light ink and then trace, but that seems overly difficult.

As long as USPS can read it and deliver the invite, it's fine. People spend about 2 nanoseconds looking at the envelope-- it's really not worth investing a lot of emotion or money or time into.

Tbh, I don't think people pay that much attention to it, so don't worry about it!

According to the Canada Post website I can only address mail in print, not cursive and large enough to be legible.

People just throw the envelopes away anyways.
