Hand deliver STD

FutureMrsSuge, on September 26, 2016 at 12:19 PM

I was telling my FH last night we need to get stamps this week to mail the save the dates . He insist on only mailing long distance ones and hand deliver the rest to local guest. Of course I said no mail all . But is that weird or against any equiette rules ?

I'm hand delivering to people who I see on a day to day mostly because they'd be like.. uh? you mailed me it?? You see me every day!

Idk, STD are more informal to me and are totally appropriate to hand to someone.

    Invitations however, mail!!

Don't your guests have only until October 15th to get the cheaper rate (according to your last post)? At this point, I wouldn't care at all about what to do/not do. My biggest priority would be getting these things out ASAP however you can.

@Elizabeth : Actually I called and got the date pushed back . And for the record it's not a cheaper rate just a cheaper deposit. Thanks and have a great day !

I don't see anything wrong with hand delivering STD. I hand delivered a few just to my immediate family as in my brother, FMIL, and BP, my mom, and my grandma.

Sailaway : I ended up choosing another boat that was cheaper and stayed overnight in Nassau. This time I used a travel agent that was able to push it back .

I hand delivered STDs to my guests I see everyday at work, and I will hand deliver their invitations as well. Other local guests I don't see daily, I am mailing them.
