I feel like lighting will be important . Purple lights in the dinning area with black and metallic table scapes

While I love the suggestions of black and purple as a color scheme. but sure to give that info to your photographer ahead of time.

Black and purple are tough to photograph well. They tend to fade in to the background. Pity too, as I love black and purple.

I'm going to a Halloween wedding in a couple weeks. They made it a 1920's theme and the invite asks guests to join the fun and dress up but it's optional. I can't wait!

On Halloween? Are you inviting kids or handing out candy for those who aren't able to go trick or treating because of it??

Trick or treating isn't mandatory. She doesn't need to accomodate for that

I love dressing up! And I also love Halloween Smiley smile

    Costume contest,

Craved Pumpkins (obviously), stobe lighting, fog machines, "bloody Mary's"

Oh, You should totally have the entry way of your venue set up like a haunted house.

My mom remarried on Halloween 1998. Bridesmaids wore black dresses and groomsmen wore simple black tuxes. I believe they may have thrown in a bit of the Halloween theme into the bouquets and boutonnieres but not in the outfits themselves. Personally, the green and orange together I think is too much. Maybe one of them with black but you do you Smiley smile I remember going trick or treating right after so it was a great Halloween for us kids lol

If you're going for "dark" halloween - think purple and black. Candelabras, lots of mood lighting, dark accents. I would expect to see some sparkle, somewhere, even if it was just black sequins on something. It would still look very beautiful and romantic! For food I think sort of traditional red meat and potatoes.

If you're going for more "fall" halloween - then I would say you're on track with orange. I would decorate with orange or white pumpkins, have lots of fall colors - oranges/yellows in the decor. It would be much brighter. You could use tree branches in the decor.
