Are you thinking half up half down?

All Up in a fun braid/bun?

Do you like the veil above the bun or under the bun?

Hayley, I really don't know. I have a beautiful two tiered fingertip length veil. I don't know if I should use the blusher as a blusher, or wear it at the back under the updo.

Does the FH have a preference on the blusher? Are you getting married in a church? Do you want your face covered walking down the aisle? Covered the whole ceremony? Have you tried it on covering your face? Does it "bother" you.

I got married at the hall on the dance floor, and if you have seen my profile.. my hair is one of my favorite assets...so covering it was not something I was going to do, and didn't feel the need to have a veil because of the venue.

I do think they are very pretty... and my personal taste... I don't like the way it looks when it is under the hair, and down low near the neck... I personally like them high, where you can almost see them from the front.

I would like it to cover my shoulders. FH said he wants to see my face coming down the aisle. Yes, it will be a church. I guess I can have a romantic updo, and put it infront? It's coming off off at the reception. It was really expensive though, and no way to return it. All I can do now is try to rock it. It's very very beautiful.

I am going to be wearing a cathedral veil, and a shoulder length veil. So, what I plan on doing is something similar to this. I want it to be in a side pony tail, with the top looking similar to the second picture

I am doing a low side chignon and I have a cathedral length veil. It will look something like this but without the curls.

Very pretty Cyndi! I'm setting up my trial now. I really fell in love with the idea of a veil, but I really don't know how to make it look good.

I'm wearing my hair half up half down in this style, I don't have pics of a veil and the hairstyle yet, haven't went for a trial yet... but I plan on putting the veil right above where some of the hair is gathered near the crown of the head. My advice is if you want to wear your hair in a full updo and still want to still show of the updo then wear the veil under the updo like the 3rd picture Hayley C posted.

Chelsea, I like that a lot! And FH told me he likes my hair down. It's long like that too.

I asked FH's preference on if he wanted my hair up or down.. and he said down, then i asked if I did it half up half down would work for him and he said yes. He actually picked the hairstyle, I had it down to 2 different ones I couldn't decide so I left it up to him lol. If you want me to find you more half up half down styles I'm more than happy too Smiley smile

Thank you. I had to try on about 6 different veils in different ways and was just about set on not doing one at all. I really like the look of the veil under the updo or just above it at the back of the head.

I have short hair that I'm trying to grow out but wondering if my hair will get any longer is frustrating. I saw a really cute pic of a short curly up-do with a veil attached lower on the head Smiley smile I'm not sure how I'll have a blusher positioned.

I wore mine half up/half down for the ceremony and then had it all pinned up for the reception. These are from my trial.
