Hey guys When I had my hair trial my HMUA basically implied that I shouldn't wash my hair everyday and should only condition my ends. I wash my hair every day because it gets oily/greasy very quickly and I use conditioner all over because my hair gets dry and tangled when I wash it 😫 what do you...

Hey guysSmiley smile When I had my hair trial my HMUA basically implied that I shouldn't wash my hair everyday and should only condition my ends. I wash my hair every day because it gets oily/greasy very quickly and I use conditioner all over because my hair gets dry and tangled when I wash it 😫 what do you guys do?
For those who dont wash your hair everyday, do you still get it wet and rinse it or just keep it dry? Do you use conditioner all over or just on the ends?
Thanks guys!Smiley smile

I have naturally wavy / curly hair and do not wash daily. I wash maybe twice a week and use kinky curly products. If you have natural wave or curl I recommend naturallycurly.com

I've had stylists tell me that and I ignore it. I have super oily skin & hair, so if I don't wash my hair every morning it looks awful. If I use dry shampoo, I need to reapply it throughout the day and I still feel gross. I don't blow dry my hair & I use deep conditioning treatments a few times a month. I use a leave in conditioner & damage control serum and my hair is still perfectly healthy. I also sleep on a silk pillowcase & take biotin w/collagen everyday. I'm super happy with my hair quality and it looked great on our wedding day! My specific stylist for our wedding day said "wash your hair that morning, no one needs greasy hair on their big day" and I totally agree!

I don't wash my hair everyday. my mom used to use this biotin that she puts in her hair after washing it and it did make it feel more smooth and sleek. i think it's also about finding shampoos that work with your hair so don't be afraid to switch and see what works best for you

I would check the ingredients of the shampoo & conditioner you currently use. That could be causing your hair to get oily quickly. I try to use as organic as possible, super hydrating, and paraben free.

My hair is VERY thick, decently long (past the girls lol), and wavy. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week (depending on how much I worked out/if I went swimming). Instead of using traditional conditioner I switched to using deep conditioner treatments (Shea Moisture is my fav brand). Dry shampoo is my best friend lol.

I love them - and they generally come in cardboard packaging, not single-use plastic, so much kinder to the environment too. You can also brew your own ACV really easily - just takes a bit of time (although my husband just messaged me to let me know that my current batch is leaking!).

I wash everyday.. the way you described your hair is the same way mine gets.. If I go one day without washing my hair it looks like I haven't washed my hair in like 3 days lol..

I wash mine every 2-3 days and use dry shampoo in between. Dry shampoo is a life saver!!! I typically only condition the ends of my hair unless I’m doing a conditioning treatment, which I do about once a month. Conditioning your hair all over will cause your hair to get oily faster.

I wash my hair every 3rd day sometimes 4th. My hair used to be super greasy until I did this for a few weeks. I keep it dry (I use dry shampoo at night before bed) and do not add water to it when I'm not washing it . When I do wash it, I do two rounds of shampoo and then one of conditioner just on the ends. Smiley smile I hope this helps.

I shampoo and condition every other day and use a shower cap on other days. I only use conditioner on my ends. Everyone's hair is different - mine is coarse, thick, and on the drier side so I could probably get away with more days than someone with finer hair but it is worth experimenting! I suggest washing your hair on a Thursday night when you have no plans for the weekend and just let it be a gross greaseball for a bit..then ease into an every other day pattern.

Look up the curly girl method (even if you don't have curly hair!)

I try to go every other day with my hair as isn't very thick and I work out so my hair gets to be a sweaty mess. I love batiste as well and have it with me everywhere! I also switched a good hair products (redken) and they have an all in one leave in conditioner/detangler/heat protectant spray which I'm obsessed with.

I only wash my hair (includes getting it wet) every 4-5 days. It has been so much healthier and stronger since I stopped washing it every day. I use a lot of dry shampoo and products in between. You have to get through the rain to get through the rainbow! My hair used to get greasy so quick and now it's fine. I never put conditioner on my roots.
