Hair That Won't Curl

I have a lifelong friend who is a professional MUA and hair artist. She will be doing my hair & makeup for the big day (with a contract of course). I am so happy that she is doing it, because she knows more about my hair and skin than even I do! My hair DOES NOT hold a curl and is always straight, so this is the style that we came up with. My hair & makeup might look simple and understated to some, but I rarely wear makeup or do anything with my hair so for me, it is natural but still a littke glam. Anybody else skipping an up do?

ETA: For my high school prom, to gwt my hair to curl, this same friend had to put my hair in tiny little pincurls all over my head, spray half a can of hair spray on it, let it sit for an hour and still the curls fell out by the end of the night! So we both agreed to stay away from the curls.

Bravo! You look like a great version of you. The lips are fine and i think you really made your hair work - it looks so refined, sophisticated and polished. It is great you took what really is a gift - wondeful shiny straight hair and enhanced it. You should be confident and though we sometimes wish what we don't have you honestly aren't missing anything. Thumbs up and enjoy your day with full confidence - It is a great and flattering hairstyle with beautiful accessories. My opinion and nothng against those brides that do it - n othing worse than a very "unnatural" style athat is overly coiffed, curled and eased that looks almost painful. Kudos to your friend tooSmiley smile

The hair is gorgeous and the makeup I can understand I'm not big on makeup myself but I would at least have her do your brows to give some definition besides that it looks great and you can really see your face

Looks great! Keep the lip color. And have her do you're eyebrows. Smiley smile

I love the hair!! Mine does not hold curl at all either. I'm doing something similar to this as well. I rather know it will stay all night. And I love the light makeup as well

Very pretty. My hair doesn't curl very well either, only with the wand, but it still only looks like my hair was crimped instead of curled with it. I love the curls the straightener gives me, but my hair won't hold them:-(. For my big day I wore my hair half up and it was waved. It was so pretty, and it never fell out!

My esthitician said I could stop the retin-A for a few days pre-wax and be ok. I stopped for four and waxed fine.

Maybe ask your friend/HMUA? I bet she could tweeze them out. Or try threading. Just the thought of that makes me cringe, though.

I've heard threading is painful, but that could be an option. You could also see if an esthitician would be willing to tweeze your brows instead of wax them!

    Your hair looks lovely!
