Hair Styles!

LOVE THIS THREAD! I feel like all the hairstyles I see on the models are so pretty but look so different when done on a real person!

This was mine from a couple different angles! I didn’t have a trial and didn’t have an inspiration picture (worst bride 🙈) and just said half up with some curls and I trust you to make it look good.

Here’s some angles from my trial! Good luck! I remember it feeling like such a decision! I knew I wanted it up and a braid on the side. I’m going to have a jeweled comb on the side for the day of.

From my trial. I wanted a whimsical look that was mostly down but out of my face, and braids were a plus. She got it all! Just need to add a flower crown!

My faux trial (was just playing hairstyles with my actual hair dresser) went ok.. I just have super fine hair and it isn't as thick on the top as it used to be for that awesome braid you have. *jealous*

This was my first try following a pull through braid tutorial. I am doing my own hair and makeup for our wedding, I will be wearing a veil and a crown of succulents. I have very long hair and I am getting married in June. I wanted big loose curls, but my hair doesn't hold a curl and with it being summer I didn't want to be too hot and miserable, so this was what I decided that will still show off my hair length without the stress of trying to hold a curl or making me too uncomfortable 😊

Here is mine! I originally wanted half up half down with a braid, and the girl suggested a twist instead and I’m so happy she did! My hair was frizzy but that was my own fault, I didn’t use any sort of styling product like I usually do and they only used the hair spray and this powder stuff (to help tease to give volume to my hair). Overall I liked it I just need it less frizzy

These are pictures with just my regulat hair stylist playing around at my last hair appt. I didn't like it but she ordered me extensions. Just because my hair is super fine, thin, and doesn't grow. I think I needed more volume and fullness. I'm hoping the extensions help. I also included the look I want. Good luck

The attached picture is from my shower which was the end of Nov, so almost 2 months before the wedding. I don’t think I trimmed it before the wedding so it may have been a little longer by then. The braid is deceiving she braided a small piece and then pulled on it to make it look bigger. She then placed it how she wanted it on my head. Trust me my hair does Not braid like that, ha! It was extremely flat and almost see through.

You can find some real hair clip in extensions to help give you volume. I do hair for weddings all the time. ( I'm a licensed cosmetologist but I don't work as one just do wedding and special events) anyway I tend to use clip in extensions for my brides that just don't have enough volume or length to get the look they want. As long as you buy human hair and not synthetic they could die it to match your color perfectly and use heat on it. It's a great way to get the umph you need.

I plan on using a donut to make my updo fuller, that’s what my hair lady recommended for the look I was going for which is more of a loose, romantic updo!

My hair and makeup trial! My hair is about 3 inches longer now so it will be SUPER long for the wedding next weekend! 😬🙈

View Quoted Comment I did, and still am considering that. The biggest issue is my hair is thinner and tends to break towards my crown, so the clip ins wouldn't help there. I am still considering it for a bit extra length however. I am also getting regular trims to keep split ends away and taking hair vitamins to help get as much growth between now and October that I can.

I never wear my hair up and fancy. So today was more of just playing to see what was doable or not, because I had honestly no idea. I've never really tried to do anything with it. While I liked the turn out it and got compliments it just wasn't as voluptuous as other ladies on here (still drooling over ya'lls beautiful full braids! 🤤)
I have, however, after taking it down and messing with it a bit, think I might be moving towards an over the shoulder swept look with cascading loose curls. So I can side part to give the top a bit more volume, and possibly braid or twist the "pulled" side and still use the gorgeous comb my aunt bought for me. I'll also be wearing a veil for the ceremony. The look I think frames my face a bit better and gives me a softer more romantic look that I'm looking for.
