Hair ideas

Katelyn, on August 2, 2019 at 6:02 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 12

I am struggling to figure out what to do with my hair for my wedding. I want to do something simple, and since I’m only wearing a ringlet and not a vail I’m not too worried about having to worry about the vail ruining it. When I went to David’s Bridal they suggested that I simply put flowers in it as it would accent the ringlet and dress, but I’m just not sure. I’m allergic to flowers and while I know it wouldn’t be too difficult to wear them for a day. I’m just worried. Can anyone suggest any other ideas?

    Hey Laura,

its kind of like a tiara. It can have anything on it and you can wear it with a veil, but I’m just skipping out on the veil part.

Do you have pictures? I guess I’m not sure quite what it is still.
I’m looking at tiaras or crowns to wear, but I also want a veil. In lieu of real flowers you can always do real looking fake flowers. I’m not sure I’d anything else like a hairpiece to a tiara, it sounds like it might be too much.

This is my Oma’s, but I’m not sure if I want to wear this one. It’s fairly course from years of neglect and doesn’t fit me.

That's sweet, but if it doesn't fit right I'm not sure I'd want to wear it on my day either or I'd be worried about it the whole time. It kind of reminds me of a flower crown. I think you can really do your hair however you want with it, but I don't think you need to add flowers in addition to this. Would you make/buy one similar in style if you decide not to wear this one?

Yes, I’m not going to wear that particular one. I was considering it because I wanted to wear something that belonged to my Oma, but it just doesn’t sit right on my head, and as I mentioned it is kind of course and hurts my head the minute I put it on. I’m going to find a new one, but I’m hoping for something similar to this one!

That looks beautiful! My hair is short, so I’m not sure that curling it would quiet work... then again, maybe wavy hair would work. My sister use to tie my hair in braids and have me sleep in it and then I would take them out in the morning and my hair would be wavy. Given I was like 10!

You could always wear a silk flower in your hair if you’re allergic, it always looks nice on brides

A silk flower? Is it like a fake flower?

Yeah a flower made out of fabric, they usually look like a real flower. You can get bridal ones with crystals or pearls on them too, even feathers.

You know, I never considered that. The feathers I mean, I might look into that. My wedding is still more than a year away. So, that actually might be something interesting to look into.
