Hair and makeup trial!

Hi guys, yesterday I had my hair and makeup trial at the salon my whole bridal party is going to. I absolutely LOVE my hair and I think she did an amazing job with it, it also held up great throughout the day while I was gardening 😂. However, I’m kind of conflicted on my makeup application and not sure that I love it. My stylist said we can change anything I want on the day off but I’m just not sure her techniques match what I want. I did my own makeup afterwards to compare the two. I only used what I had, but I would for sure get some more glowy products for the day of and I would practice much more before the wedding. I would love some opinions and help as I am so torn on what to do (go with the stylist doing my makeup, or doing my own. ) Thanks in advance!

    I LOVE the hair. The eye makeup looks perfect to me but the cheeks are a little dark in the picture of the one she did

    You are so beautiful! Your hair looks amazing!
    I would recommend just identifying the parts of the makeup application you did yourself better (like the blush and lipstick colors) and tell your stylist so she can alter her application better.
    If you are going to stick with her for your hair it just makes sense to go ahead and let her do your makeup with her professional products.

    I think your hair and makeup look amazing. Too much blush and placement of blush from mua is too dark. You do a wonderful job on your makeup but I’d tweak hers.

    I agree with the previous posters that your own makeup application looks better. You may want to talk to your photographer first though to see how it might show up on camera. You don’t want to end up looking washed out in your picturs. I think wedding MUA end up being what would be considered more heavy handed than with everyday makeup.

    Your hair is gorgeous!! The makeup too, but I think if she just lightened the blush a little bit and maybe did the lip similar to what you did it’d be perfect!

    OMG I love it! You look stunning!

    Whether you do the application, or the make up artist does it, is up to you! Im wrestling with the same thing as well; mostly due to budget reasons... But I also know that the make up artist is going to have 'higher' quality makeup & stuff so I shouldn't have to worry about it coming off during the wedding (which is a huge concern of mine). So maybe the same for yourself? You did an excellent job with your own make up!

    Your hair is stunning! I love the braid. And I prefer the makeup you did yourself. If you're comfortable doing your own makeup on your big day, I'd save yourself the cost and do it yourself. But if you might be flustered and worried about doing your own, and want her to do it, I'd show her the picture of how you do it and have her do something closer to that. Either way you'll be absolutely gorgeous!

    You look radiant! I love your hair. It is absolutely becoming and the hair accessory is perfect and brings out the rose in your face! You are going to make a beautiful bride!

    Your hair looks great. But it seems like she’s more of a hairstylist than a makeup artist. So maybe find someone who specializes in makeup artistry.

    I love your hair! The flowers are so pretty. I like your blush in the picture by the stylist, but I think your eyes & lashes pop more in your makeup. So I'd have her do fake lashes & more mascara, and makeup brighter eye shadow. I also like the darker lip you did.

    You look so beautiful!! The makeup in the last two photos looks best- the soft curls and flowers are asking for something soft and glowy, rather than dark or intense.
