Hair and makeup for maid of honor and mother of the bride and groom

Hey everyone. I was wondering how to go about hair and makeup for people that are getting ready with me. I have one maid of honor and my mom and my fiance's mom that I have offered to pay for hair and makeup services. I don't have any bridesmaids. So if I am paying for hair and makeup, do I let them choose the style of hair and makeup? I don't want to step on anyone's toes and make anyone feel like they don't have a say in it. For instance, my future mother in law loves the pinup 50's style. These types of hairstyles/makeup looks take a long time right? I also have the option to pay for a second makeup/hair stylist, so I am wondering if I should just do that? I have already put a deposit on my hair and makeup artist, but she might be willing to add on the extra cost.

    Ehh, i would let them decide on how they want their hair and makeup. If you MIL likes the pinups maybe ask her if that’s how she want it done for the wedding. What time are you getting it done? I’d also check with the hair and makeup artist about timing because they will know if something will take a long time or not just depending on the hairstyle and how much makeup. At least that way you’ll have an understanding before adding an additional stylist.

    I paid for everyone's and let them choose which service and style they wanted. The company sent one makeup person and one hair stylist. Some used the professional and some chose to do their own. It sounds like you're not forcing them to have a certain look, so what you're doing is completely OK 🙂

    I paid for all my bridesmaids and both Moms hair and makeup but I let them pick the service(s) that they wanted to get done, so I wasn't paying for a service that they didn't want. I also asked for them to look up ideas for hair and makeup styles that they would want, well in advance, so I could provide them to the stylist so they would have an idea as to how long was needed to get everyone ready. As the stylist they should be able to gage how to adjust certain looks to make everyone look great yet still making you stand out.

    I'd let everyone pick their own styles and just tell your hair/ makeup artist that you have 3 people plus the bride that want hair and makeup done. They should be able to estimate how much time will be needed to get everyone done on time and whether they need a second person there.

    Okay! My mother in law actually let me know that she is planning on doing her own hair and makeup, so that is taken care of🙂 Our ceremony is going to be before sunset, so I have no clue honestly. I will definitely do that! Thanks for the help!!❤️

    Cool! 😊That sounds like what I was planning on doing. Yeah my future MIL told me she would rather do her own hair in makeup because she is very particular, so that is taken care of on her part🙂 and yes, I want everyone to choose their own look😊 I've heard horrible stories about this kind of thing😬

    Thank you for all of your help everyone! Future MIL said she would like to do her own hair and makeup, so that takes care of that. And I have reached our to my mom and MOH asking what hairstyles and makeup looks they want, so I will reach out to the HMUA when they get back to me😁
