Guestbook ideas for engagement party

Hi guys!

So our engagement party is next week and I'm going crazy trying to think of a cheap way to have our guests "sign in." We thought about a plate but wasn't sure what to get written on it since it's an engagement party and not a wedding. What do you guys think and do you have any idea of what we could write on the plate to make it more for an engagement party?

I've been seeing these pop up on Pinterest Etsy and Facebook. I would look into this as a possible option.

I didn't think people did this for an engagement party. Not that you can't. The engagement parties I've seen have been like here's some food we're getting married.
Just curious, are you requesting gifts?

My MoH hosted an engagement party for us, she used a small photo album and printed little notecards that had a spot for their names and asked for "advice for the bride and groom to be." I wasn't so sure about even having anything like that for an engagement party but she was hosting so I just went along with it and...It ended up being awesome! Our guests really seemed to have fun with it and provided us with some really entertaining reading. Again, it's not something I would have done on my own, but FH and I really appreciated it!

You could always get a nice engagement photo of you 2 and have a nice big black border and have them sign with a silver sharpie. That way you can hang it up and see it

My parents through ours and the had pictures blown up in the shape of a heart and everyone signed it. It's now hanging on my wall in my living room

I've never seen a guest book at an engagement party. Just make sure everyone invited to that party is invited to your wedding.
