Guestbook idea for Alice in wonderland / star wars theme...

Guests open the guestbook and there's little envelopes stuck to each page,
Guests open the envelope and pull out a small key craft decoration that is attached to a kraft tag. On the front , the tag has a prompt such as " What's the secret to a happy marriage? " , guests fill out the prompt on the back then place it back into the envelope, seal the front with washi tape and then they sign the envelope (so others know if it's been written out or not)

Then on our 1st year anniversary we open these envelopes and read the tags?

I would worry people won’t take the time to write something or it would just be a huge line waiting for people to get to the guestbook. I skipped a guestbook but my friends that had one tell me half of the time people didn’t even sign it. Could you put envelopes at the tables or do it at a shower?

If you're worried about the line being backed up maybe use single sheets so more than one person can sign at the same time. Then put the guest book together at some point after the wedding??

I agree. As I read OP's post I immediately thought to myself that people will probably not take the time to do this. OP, it is a cute idea but people don't spend a lot of time signing the guest book because they are having fun socializing and enjoying food and drinks.

There are a few Alice in Wonderland guestbook options on Etsy. It may be easier to have a sign that says provide us with marriage advise or date options. Include a pen and maybe some paper or something for people to write on.

As cute as this idea is, Charlie, I agree with the pps. This sounds a little complicated for a wedding guestbook. I think Kelly's idea of having it at a shower would be a good idea. Or instead of having actual keys, you can get some nice paper and shape it into a key, and then have your guests write advice and put them in a jar/box/on a keyring. It's sort of the same idea, but simplified.
