Hey girls- so my friend just emailed me about how she got her dress for my wedding. She said it is red and tight so she really needs to watch her diet. For some reason this is bothering me. She has always been an attention seeker and dresses a little more provocative. I am annoyed she is trying to do this on my wedding day. Am I being a crazy bride right now? I also wish she just didn't tell me because day of I probably wouldn't have cared. But now I am thinking about it!! Can she let someone else have the spotlight once?? I know I sound crazy but it is bother me.

I was at a family wedding and my cousin dressed in highlighter yellow and her mom wore highlighter pink. For where the wedding was it looked totally out of place and everyone noticed. Unfortunately those colors did sort of draw attention away from the bride and groom in pictures but it was only a couple pictures so it didn't matter too much. If you're worried just warn your photographer to try and keep her in a limited number of pictures. If you're worried about it being really short and skanky then maybe you can let her know your venue has a policy that dresses must be knee length or something!

But otherwise I'd let it go which it sounds like you're going to do, red definitely isn't that bad of a color.

There's always one of those ladies at every wedding. And I always secretly roll my eyes and put my attention back where it belongs. People know when someone is trying to steal the spotlight and it generally doesn't go over well. Don't let it ruin your day!

... I just wore a red dress to my cousin's wedding on Friday night (but it wasn't really tight) and there were like 2 or 3 other people in the same color as me. I don't think you really have anything to worry about, you will still be the center of attention on your special day.

There will always be that one person that will dress trashy or just look completely ridiculous. People will notice her but trust me it will not be in the way she wishes. She will look out of place. But it will not take away from your day. You will be beautiful and the center of attention. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Trust me most of the attention would be focused on you THE BRIDE. they may be occassional disapproving glances and chit chat about her and her trashy red dress but in the end, you will get all the attention.
