Guest wants to wear same color as bridesmaids

It doesn't matter in the least. Not at all. Don't give it another thought.

Lol, I think it's a little odd for someone to go out of their way to call a bride and ask about the bridesmaids' dress color and want to wear that color. Seems like they want to be part of the bridal party.

That seems very odd to me, is she really close with you? It sounds like she is trying to be part of your bridal party, or at least wants others to think she is.

If 12 people accidentally wore the same color I don’t think I would mind, but since she’s trying to match them I think it’s a little odd.

I know some people feel it’s nice or curtious to wear an outfit that is like your wedding colors in order to match. I see no harm with that. However, for someone to specifically ask what your bridesmaids are wearing is a bit odd. I would just keep in mind the age of who ever it was asking perhaps an older person who is just being polite etc. Or someone younger who’s hardly been to weddings and doesn’t know any better. In either occasion I don’t think it matters if they wear the same colors as the bridesmaids since so many of bridesmaid dresses are also popular wedding outfit colors for attendees. Plus her dress could be completely different from the bridesmaids so I wouldn’t stress about it being similar or any of that. Just enjoy your day!

I’ve asked what color the bridesmaids were wearing to AVOID wearing the same color before. I matched almost exactly before, and was mistaken for a bridesmaid. It’s awkward. Idk why anyone would aim to match. Lol

As far as your response goes, I say don’t put any extra thought into it and let her do her thing. Avoid ill feelings. 😊

I don't think it's a big deal for a guest to coincidentally match the BP, but it is odd to go out of your way to do it. I would tell her that you don't know yet and move on.
