Guest transportation Help!

So, I need help with ideas for guest transportation from parking location to wedding! I got a quote back from a trolley service and it was just too much for the little work they had to do. Our parking is only 2 minutes from our venue.

A two minute walk? Don't worry about it. If you have guests who will need door to door help, ask their driver to drop them off first and/or ask a couple of people to "valet" those few cars.

I'm confused, if the parking is only 2 minutes away, why do you want transportation from there to the wedding?

Is it actually 2 minutes or are you exaggerating? A 2 minute walk wouldn't be worth hiring transportation to me.

It’s a 2 minute drive but there are no sidewalks and there’s a busy rode.

It’s not a 2 minute walk, more like a 2-3 minute drive but there are no sidewalks and there’s a busy road.

How many guests will you have? Is the venue for the ceremony and reception, assuming you'd need transportation for before ceremony and at various times throughout/after the reception?

Would it even be worth using Uber events?

If you absolutely need transportation, there really are 2 main options:

    - Shelling out the money

    - A friend-or run "shuttle" where people had to meet at a certain time and family members with large SUV vehicles drove them over. You then also have to schedule specific times for leaving the reception. I was a wedding that did this. It made for a lot of confusion and took away the wedding enjoyment for those individuals. I ended up walking back to my car when I had to leave early anyways

If you don't want your guests walking, then try a local school bus company. It'll still cost you a few hundred (cheaper than a trolley or bus) but you should be able to have them stick around and do a couple of runs back to the cars for people who want to leave early.

There's no parking at your venue though? What have other couples done for their guests in the past?

My venue is a private residence so it’s not an actual wedding venue. But there’s a school down the street that said we could is it’s parking lot for our guests. Our wedding is going to be very elegant so I want the transportation to be on the same level but idk if I want to spend thousands for them to drive 3 minutes back and forth for a few hrs.
