I'm providing beer, wine, 2 signature drinks, and sangria. I just had a guest ask me if it's going to be open bar. I told him what all we're having and his response was a long pause then ".. I'll just bring my own liquor." Now I feel like I'm not providing enough! It seriously isn't in my budget to add a ton more so do you guys have any suggestions for another cheap drink I could add or what kind of beer would please everybody? I really feel bad like I'm not doing enough now.

Youre providing enough. It may not be allowed at your venue.

Our venue is kinda out in the middle of nowhere about 10 minutes outside of our small town. The only bar nearby is the bar back in our town which honestly that's probably where he would end up after the reception anyway because that's where he is every Saturday night.

Definitely find out what the policy is at your venue. If he brings in alcohol will you be kicked out? Just him? Who is liable? In CA the person drinking is liable. Not the person serving the alcohol. I know that if anyone was caught they would be kicked out. Not the entire wedding.

Go with what you can and want to provide. If its not good enough for the guests, they need to check their priorities.

What you're doing is absolutely fine. Sounds like he was just being a smart ass and can't possibly be serious. Just in case you should tell him it's not allowed at your venue for him to bring his own.
