Warning: Picture Heavy! So, I've been back n forth about whether to do the traditional guest book or to have the guest book and something else or just do something else. Here are my other ideas, tell me what you think?

So I am doing a traditional guest book for our traditional ceremony. At our reception, we will be doing a photo booth guest book!

I love the one where people put their name on a heart and put it in the frame. We plan on having a lot of children at our wedding so I think that would be something that they can participate in as well.

I love the little hearts in the frame. We're not doing a guest book either, I just don't think I would ever open it. We're going back and forth between having a sketch of our city and have people sign around it, we would have it framed OR this wooden sign with our last name and date and have people sign the edgesGuest book Ideas 1

Just a heads up, I was obsessed with the date night/words of wisdom idea and was sure I was going to do it. But FSIL had the date night thing at her wedding and almost all were go out to dinner, see a movie, take a trip, or go on a hike. So many repeats! She got a few neat ones but overall kind of disappointing. I guess it’s a know your crowd thing so if you have creative people it might work. Just letting you know my experience. I think the heart idea in the frame is super cute and you could keep it and display it after the wedding.

I got something similar to the last pic so we can hang it on the wall and show it... plus it saves space and no paper laying around in a jar that u have to unpack to look at

We're getting two large photo mats for people to sign (having 2 receptions) and we'll put 2 wedding photos in them and then frame and hang those. We already know that a traditional guest book will just collect dust in a drawer somewhere. Since our wedding is weeks before the parties, I'm hoping to have pictures already. We're also doing "tips for a happy marriage" advice cards.

Does anyone feel if they did the birthday and anniversaries one that they are then required to send out cards or gifts on all of these dates?? Personally, I would never want to do that, simply because I feel there are expectations after!

I love unique guestbooks. Of the ones you posted I am leaning towards the puzzle tree.

The hearts in the frame are super cute! We’re going with jenga blocks because we love game night so it fits our style. Plus, I think it would be so cute to play a couple rounds of jenga every year on our anniversary while re-reading messages from our family and friends on the blocks Smiley smile

I went to a wedding with the wooden heart guest book. It was so cute! But not super practical because you can't write anything but a name on it! So if you want tips, cute sayings, etc. you can't really do it with that unfortunately!

We will have our wedding date and location of course, and have guests sign all around the border.
