It's a way to give them something meaningful that speaks to you. When would you give it to them? Would you give it to them the 1st thing on the morning of your wedding, as a gift during the 1st viewing when you're all dressed up, or after the wedding is over? I have a grooms gift for him but would really like some guidance as to when to give it to him. Thanks

That sounds great! If he already has the gun, you could get him a fancy holster or gun cleaning kit. I've heard of weddings where the 'maid of honor' is a guy (he wanted to be called the dude of honor.) or where the 'best man' is a woman. I think it's totally a personal choice. I'm also thinking of of having it given to him before our first look.

If you're familiar with Good Mythical Morning on YouTube or Rhett and Link in general, it was a one of their music shows!

His parents and brother have all passed away so I gave him a lapel pin with all 3 of their pictures to wear on our wedding day. I also bought him several other things (personalized cuff links, a special whiskey glass, and a golf marker with our wedding date), but that was something I wanted to surprise him with that morning.

That's such a good way to include those who have passed on!

His passion project right now is working on his 68 Chevy, so I put in a new sound system and radio. We set a dollar limit to spend on each other so he has a credit for another project on his truck that he wants to cash in after the holidays. You’ll find what works best for you two and it will be perfect! One of the reasons he gave me my earrings early is that I wear them everyday and he wants me to get the most use out of them.

I got my guys some smaller items. He's a big Green Lantern fan who plays D&D, so I appealed to his nerdy side lol.

I really like the idea of giving him something for his car. That way, he'll think of you when he drives it!

My FH is already pretty overwhelmed by all of this planning and timing he's going to have to do..as nice as it would be to gift him something and he gift me something I think asking him to try and find something meaningful and get it to me the day of would be hard for him.

We have enough to worry about LOL!

That sounds excellent! I don't think I could do a photo shoot like that without nervous giggling.

Some responses have said they'll give their groom/bride gift after the celebration. I think that's a good way to make sure the gifts don't get lost!

We exchanged gifts at home Thursday night before our Saturday wedding. We wanted it to be just between the 2 of us, and we knew things would get crazy with people from when we drove up to the venue Friday afternoon. Also, it would be more things to remember to pack up with us, and bring back.

I'm glad we were alone, because I cried like a baby. I gave him a Night Sky poster of our first date, and he gave me a music box that plays our first dance song, with the words engraved in the top.

We got each other gifts. We both wrote letters to each other, then I got him a hunting rifle and personalized bible. He got me a fox fur jacket. We just gave it to each other privately at home after the wedding.

That's so sweet. I like the idea of waiting till after the wedding day to give gifts to each other. It's a nice way to end the excitement.
