Groom's or Bride's Gift

Wedding gifts to each other are not a requirement. I planned to get my FW something small and meaningful, a shirt with a stick figure saying "your wife" and Wonder Woman saying "My Wife" (inside joke), a rock with an inscription about her being my rock, and a hammer that has "For the life we will build together" etched on the handle. She on the other hand bought me a new laptop because I really needed one for my side business. So there are no rules! lol

Oh and she will receive her gifts the morning of the wedding since we will not spend the night apart.

I'm thinking about exchanging letters the day of while both of us are getting ready!

I'll be gifting my guy an album of the boudoir pictures I'll be taking in May and either a nice bottle of whiskey or a gift card to a local gun store to put toward the new gun he wants (this will all depend on if he buys himself the gun before the wedding or not). I plan on having his Best Person (his title for our female friend who is co-best man/woman) deliver it to him (since she'll be getting ready with the girls for hair/makeup and then heading over to the groom's room when we get to the venue.

All of those are really good ideas. I especially like the rock & hammer with the inscription. The laptop is nice too as you can make your wallpaper into a photo of both of you.

When did you give them to each orther? That's my main concern.

That's a problem I have too! The best way to keep a secret is to make sure you don't tell me! May I ask, what did you get for him?

I should have responded in the first post. lol She gave me my present when she bought it. She doesn't keep secrets very well. But I accidentally showed her a gift I meant to give her the morning of our wedding so I guess we're even.

That's great! I like the watch idea since you love is timeless! Is he an archeologist or something like that who deals with fossils? Even if he's not, I think that's my favorite idea yet! Well done!

I thought about boudoir photos but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable enough with having a photographer taking photos of me while I'm trying to be all sexy. It might result in me just doing my nervous laugh the whole appointment! I like the cuff link idea too.

Would you have you MOH take your letter to him & his BM bring his to you or would you exchange them some other way? An idea he might really like would be to have someone you trust translate your letter into Spanish as you said he's a Spanish teacher. Then I would have the translation brought to you so you can write it by copying it so it's in your writing. I hope you like my idea.
