Grooms Must haves

So my FH is pretty easy going with the wedding. Most of it is, "Whatever you want sweetie." Except recently, he got really excited about a particular DJ/Band. Is there anything your FH got super excited about and needed to have? It felt like out of left-field to me.

    Mine also doesn't want to do a first look but I really want to do one so 🤷. Mine has suggested a lot of ideas but I've veto most of them.

    Well dang. Well I hope you guys are able to come up with an alternative. I mean you can always do a first look with your mom or dad 🤷🏽‍♀️

    What's his reasoning for not doing a first look? Does he want that moment when he sees you down the aisle to be the first?

    Our venue and his suit color. FH was ecstatic about having our wedding weekend at a historic golf resort and was insistent on blue suits for him and his groomsmen.

    I can get his opinion on anything really, but the men's outfits, music, and alcohol have kind of been his thing.

    My fiance is very laid back, but the only thing he has shown interest in is... His socks for his suit, so he can feel in control of how he looks. And some songs on the MUST play list. Something small that would make him smile the day of.

    My FH is a Star Wars NUT. He REALLY wanted us to be escorted in to the reception by his uncle in a (admittedly pretty awesome) Senator Palpatine costume, accompanied by remote controlled BB8 & R2D2 droids and have a light saber battle.

    I balked at his uncle in costume, but agreed to walk in carrying light sabers and accompanied by the droids (you can set them to automatically follow a remote that you carry with you). I love Star Wars too, but the Palpatine costume was a little too much for me to be able to go along with, lol.

    I also got him to help me pick out ceremony music, and he is picking out his guys' suits (he has pretty awesome taste in suits). Other than those things, everything else has pretty much been my call and he didn't really care about the details.

    Oh! And the venue choice. We had that picked out before we ever got engaged or seriously thought about getting married. It's a fun/quirky hotel resort that is one of our favorite places to go for a weekend away, and we'd always talked about how cool it would be to get married there.

    My FH is also a star wars nut. I got little porgs to put on our wedding cake amongst flowers.
