Groom's Gift

I'm having the hardest time buying my FH a gift for the big day. Everytime I think of something he'd like, I find out that he's already bought it. He bought not 1, but 2 watches, cuff links. He doesn't wear jewelry and is not really a drinker. Any ideas?

What about purchasing something to be used for the honeymoon? Like a planned outing or to bring to the honeymoon

I think we are in the same boat. We haven't talked about getting each other something, but he even questioned getting our parents anything for wedding gifts...like he didn't know it was a thing. That left me confused as well. Lol. We just had our 2 year anniversary on the 8th and both forgot until the next day. No gifts there either.

We are doing a Disney theme and also going to Disneyland for our honeymoon. He loves baseball so I found a small shop that does Disney baseball jerseys to look like the real MLB jerseys. I’ll probably get myself a matching one and put our last name and 19 on the back

I don’t think we are exchanging gifts. My go to with his are his hobbies: golf - golf tees with his company logo on them, good golf balls, a new whatever club he needs. Football - any titans gear I can find that I haven’t gotten him already, he’s obsessed with jackets/pullovers so those are always good ideas. Food/drink - he’s a beer snob so craft beer, or his favorite hot beef jerky.
Does your FH golf? A day of golf with his buddies would probably be a good idea or tickets to a sporting event.

I'm having the same problem. I was thinking about a watch but I've already gotten him some pretty nice ones for Christmas and his birthday, and I feel like everyone does watches. Let me know if you figure something else out so I can steal your idea! 😂

My FH and I are gifting each other with cologne and perfume. Neither of us have a scent we wear daily now and actually stole this idea from someone in our pre-marital counseling class. The idea is to wear the perfume or cologne on the wedding day (after it's been gifted) and then from their on out anytime you wear it, it should bring back memories of the day.

I'm thinking about doing a boudoir shoot and giving my fiancé a framed photo from the shoot (something not too revealing). I know he will be hanging around the groomsmen that morning so I don't want him to open something that they can't see.

We're not doing gifts, we're just using that money towards our wedding night stay at the hotel we got engaged at, and towards our honeymoon

My FH and I said we aren't getting ourselves gifts for the wedding.

We're both contributing so much to the wedding and we didn't feel it was necessary for us. But I totally understand wanting to shower your FH with gifts and love!

If he doesn't have this already, a monogrammed leather dopp kit would be nice too!

We’re getting married in less than 2 months and I told he wasn’t allowed to buy anything else that wasn’t a necessity bc I always have the same problem with him buying things I want to get him! I got him a work bench for his garage

My FH and I will both be wearing boots to our wedding so I figured I would get us some matching Brittain (our last name) socks and I am also giving him a Boudoir Photobook

There is a serious lack of ingenuity when it comes to what's marketed as groom/groomsmen gifts. 99% if them are either:

    1. A sharp metal object (hatchet, knife, etc)

    2. Delicate jewelry (wood watch, cuff links, wood sunglasses)

    3. Booze related (flask, cooler, shot glasses, whiskey glass, whiskey stones, etc)

    4. Golf crap (balls, ball markers, divot tools, etc)

I advocate for tickets to something he really likes...build a memory together.

I second this David. The men's gifts have to be creative otherwise you're left with commercial every day stuff. I was looking for something to get my dad even. He doesn't hunt, fishes minimally, minimal drinking (out with the flask idea), and he certainly has never golfed. He's more of a fix-it guy. He would probably just roll is eyes at something that says "Daddy's little girl" or "love you to the moon and back" to be honest. I'm stuck.
