Grooms Crying

B.C, on April 20, 2016 at 11:35 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 87

I think it's really touching when a groom cries at the wedding. My FH claims he will not cry. Did your husband cry? If not what was his reaction?

I think it is touching too. I never expect it, so when it happens it always makes me want to cry too!

He teared up some, but we were honestly so excited that I think "jumping up and down inside", as he describes it, was more how both of us reacted. We both teared up some during the vows.

My husband is not an emotional person and we didn't do a first look so apparently when he saw me enter the church he shed a tear.

But when he's questioned about it he says the tear went back in his eye.

Mine teared up for our 1st look and then again when I walked down the aisle and again when we said our vows. And he is so not an emotional person

My FH is not an emotional person so I always assumed he wouldn't cry until we went to FBIL's Marines boot camp graduation this past fall and he cried giving him a hug. So...we'll see, haha. I'm super emotional and can see myself being too nervous to cry, so I guess it depends on the moment!

He cries more than I do, and I cry at commercials! It's one of the reasons we're doing a first look. There's no way we'd get through it otherwise.

This is my goal. Lol. I tell FH repeatedly that I want him to cry, even if it's just a tear. I've only seen it once though at my sister's wedding.

My husband teared up when we were saying our vows! I thought I would be the one crying but surprisingly did not!! He did cry when he got his grandparents card in the mail which was SUPER sweet. That was the first time I have ever seen him cry. He was really disappointed they could not make it ( they are from Minnesota and wedding was in Virginia).

Just kidding he loves me so much.

I told FH that he better cry since he tears up at Jim and Pam's wedding on The Office. He did start to well up when we did 'practice vows' in one of our meetings with our officiant, so I'm pretty sure he will.

I'm surrounded by emotional men. FH has already said he will cry that day. My dad also happens to be a crier and it's so funny because they are very manly men.

I am a courtesy crier and cry when other cry. I also can cry about any and everything. It's gonna be rough to keep my makeup on.

I cry just thinking about the day. Ugh.

FH teared up when he saw me. I expected emotional. Didn't expect him to do tear up because he's such a "cool" dude.

My FH is not really the emotional type. I, on the other hand, get teary eyed for Hallmark commercials. I think I'll be the one in tears! Thank goodness for waterproof makeup!

I have told him multiple times that if he does not get emotional, I am turning around and we are starting the whole thing over.

My MOH has also threatened to throw an onion at his face to get some tears.

I'm kidding about turning around...I think

I think it's cute, but I really cringe when I hear brides saying "he better cry". People display emotion very differently. I didn't cry when I got engaged or during my wedding, but those were the HAPPIEST days of my life. My tears actually came at different times.

My husband cried during our vows and first look.

Mine did not. He's just not emotional like that. I've never seen him cry.

My FH is worried that he will faint...I was shocked! I told him the BM should catch him, he is a pretty well built guy (they work out together multiple times a week and both bench over 300 lbs.). I am not sure that FH will actually cry, although I have seen him cry so it wouldn't be totally unheard of.

My Dad, on the other hand, is a very sentimental guy and I know he will absolutely cry when he sees me and while we are walking down the aisle. That will probably be one of the most emotional parts of my day for me.

I will cry, I have no illusions that I can make it through the ceremony without crying. I expect to cry most of the day and through the ceremony. I cry a lot when I am happy.

If I cry, FH will cry, that's how it works with us. He's very good at handling emotions and I've only ever seen him cry on his own when his grandpa passed away, but if I get really emotional and start crying then he cries. We're weird.

My DH did! I was definitely surprised since he's not particularly fond of being emotional in public, but I do love the picture.
