Grooms clothes- rent or buy?

Did/is everyone renting the men's clothes or did you buy? Could you tell me how much you spent and where? We're trying to find the most cost effective way to get a suit with no jacket (so pants, shirt, tie and vest) for four. Thanks for your help!

    We rented a tux from a local tux shop in So Cal for $99. He wore the vest but not the jacket. Worth every penny.

    We bought. FH has a ton of nice white shirts so he didn't need a nee one. We were both just in a wedding Monday that also called for a black suit. His suit was $200 with the option of adding a vest for an additional $20. He didn't need a vest for either wedding though we declined. Renting would have cost twice as much.
