Groom's Cakes!

We always brag on our wedding cakes, but if your FH is having a groom's cake, what is he doing? My FH is doing this cake but adding an Alabama "A" to the golf ball and putting a cake baseball beside the cake with a Braves "A" on it! Each tier will be a different flavor: triple fudge with chocolate ganache, cookies and cream with marshmallow filling, and almond wedding cake!

Also, I didn't realize groom's cakes weren't a normal thing for weddings outside the south until coming on here. Every wedding I've been to has had one. I love how cute they are!

    I’m from NC but I’ve never seen one. my fiancé insisted on having one, all chocolate no design. The Oreos are a surprise.

    Cute!! I had never heard of them until recently. You're right, it's not common in the midwest. My friend is doing one because her and her FH have very different cake tastes. I think his is going to be batman!

    My husband doesn't know it but this is his groom's cake. Just the top part, and it will be banana cake with cream cheese filling, frosted in buttercream.

    First off, Roll Tide! Smiley smile

    My fiancé is an auburn fan so he wants an auburn grooms cake/table. We are going to do a chocolate cake with the auburn logo on the top. The cake is going to have chocolate covered strawberries on it too, and those will have the white on them to make them look like footballs. We are trying to keep it vintage football and not use a lot of the cartoon type figures. We might have to flip the venue if weather doesn't permit and I didn't want a huge Aubie statue in the background of my ceremony pictures lol
