Hi all!

My second shower is this weekend. I am so excited! In showers for others I've been to, the groom has shown up as a surprise at the end, which I thought was very sweet. Some have brought flowers. I don't think I should really be the one to tell my fiance to do this ( I feel like that would be pretty fake)....at my other shower he did not show up so he is not aware of this tradition clearly. Who should be telling him? Should I say something? Or just ride it out in hopes that one of his guy friends will fill him in? I asked the hostess of the shower about it and she just said that's up to the groom. Any advice?

I agree with Allyson, just ask him! I told my FH I wanted him to come by at the end so that he could thank people for the gifts as well. He was out with my dad for most of the time, then came back near the end. He disappeared after about 5 minutes and I wasn't sure where he went, so just didn't worry about it. Later that night, he told me that he left because his cousin got mad and told him he "wasn't supposed to be there!" I was annoyed about that (and so was he) because he wanted to visit with his out of town relatives who had come for the day. But ohh well.

I don't think this a well known enough tradition to assume the groom will know to come! I'd talk about it together and decide what you guys want to do!

Since we had family members in town, I asked my fiance to come for the last 30 minutes of the shower to say hi to everyone and help carry the gifts home
