Hi everyone!

I'm getting married soon and my groom is a Police Officer and his best man is in the Royal Navy. My groom would like to wear his Police number one's (aka dressy uniform) and his best man wants to wear his Royal Navy dress uniform. My groom only has a best man, no one else is in the wedding party just to give you a better idea.

Will it look silly for them wear two different uniforms for the wedding? One is navy blue with gold buttons and the other is black with silver buttons(my husband to be). My dress is Ivory. The mismatching is making my OCD crazy haha.

The other option is....since I'm not making them buy suits the best man could just wear his Royal Navy uniform which is navy blue and my groom can wear his regular navy blue suite, which I absolutely love him in. So they'd match really well.

This is all very shallow sounding but I'm at the point in wedding planning where I'm overthinking everrrrything and i just need some help! Thank youSmiley smile

FH is a police officer as well and was a marine. Personally we decided to not do uniforms. I don't like the look of it for a wedding.

We did mismatched uniforms for our wedding and it looked fine. Just make sure they're the same formality level or it can look silly/one person will look underdressed.

My name is also Caroline and I'm also marrying a police officer! We also only have a best man haha. He's not in the navy though Smiley smile

I think the others are right - their number ones will look great. Best wishes to you and your husband-to-be Smiley smile

They are probably very proud of their uniforms. They should be able to wear what they feel comfortable in. The day of you won't even notice that one is in black and silver and the other in navy and gold. Let them wear their uniform proud!
