Groom is Police, best man is Royal Navy- Where uniforms or not?

I think it will look really nice in their uniforms! ETA: Will wearing the uniforms be comfortable? (Weather, dancing, etc?) Are they allowed to drink in them?

Thank you for your input! I think if either or both wear uniform they plan to change later into a more comfortable suit.

I think it would mean more down the line looking back at pictures if they were both in uniforms that meant something to them. The whole wedding is about making a special moment. I would never turn down a chance for someone to where the uniform that symbolizes them serving their country or community! If anything have your FH wear his uniform cause he is the groom and get BM to wear a suit similar. Not the other way around that you described. Grooms preference trumps best man if the colors are really driving you insane

You are right Nowparty! I think I just had it in my little head that I wanted navy colored suits so that is the only reason that idea popped into my head for best man to wear his uniform and not FH. You are right though, he's the one that needs to stand out.

Thanks Scruggs! Even if ones Blue with gold and the other is black with silver? Why can't I get this mismatching thing out of my brain? lol I guess because of what they represent they aren't really supposed to match.

I have a groomsman in an army dress uniform and my father is in navy dress whites. Other groomsmen are wearing dark suits (charcoal or navy). They should completely rock those uniforms!!
