Grilled Cheese Station ?

What if you called it a panini station instead of a grilled cheese station? I would be all for it though...

I agree - call it panini and have some fancy bread, meat and cheese. Also now I want cheddar on worthless white bread.

Also, not to ruin your life.... there is NOTHING I hate more than pasta and weddings. I put on my nicest clothes and now you want me to eat the messiest food on earth UGH.

Gourmet or not THIS IS AWESOME! Who doesn't love a good grilled cheese!? I say heck yes!!! and don't listen to the haters bashing your pasta. I love pasta. If I'm at a wedding I'm thankful for anything they serve me! It's your wedding and it will be wonderful!

@ Erin : It didn't ruin my life . But the first thought come to mind is , why she hating on pasta. Do she have a hole in her lip and can't eat pasta without making a mess. LOL J/K

Agree on the renaming. I LOVE grilled cheese (brie and fruit combos are especially delicious) and I'd be perfectly happy eating them at a wedding.

I love grilled cheese. Although I feel like grilled cheese and pasta are similarly composed foods - carb, cheese, maybe a meat. So you might want to pick one or the other and then add something else that's a little lighter.

I have NEVER spilled on my self, but I have had: wait staff bump into me spilling, someone (a child) walking carrying his plate trip and get it all over my shoes, and my FH dip his sleeve reaching for something and that getting on my sleeve. I feel like sauce is the worst with so much movement, people and dress clothes.

The only thing I dislike about panini bread it gets so hard when you toast it.

No side eye from me for grilled cheese!! Don't call it a panini if it not a panini (a pressed sandwich). Having the fancier options classes it up just fine without having to call it what it's not.

I think grilled cheese is great and call it what it is...a grilled cheese station. Nothing wrong with that. Let's not look down our noses at it and become GrilledcheeseKaren.

I love this idea - I actually think this would go over better than a pasta bar. I agree with Elk too that one or the other is better. Having pasta bar and sandwich bar as your two main options is a lot of carbs.
