That's where we are going on our HM!!! Is it close to Georgetown? We are most likely going to do an excursion there and that one would be perfect.

I'm actually not sure. I know the port is in Bridgetown and we booked the excursion through Carnival.

I'm on the fence too! I've used a life proof case on my iPhone for underwater photos and it's been great but I've been really thinking about a GoPro. Hmmmm.

So I got on here to ask about go pros because FH and I just decided that we were going to get one to videotape our ceremony with for his grandparents who can't make it to the wedding! And then I get on and see this amazing thread is already started!

I saw online that it has the capability to take video and photos simultaneously! Which I think is awesome! And would be a good "back up" for if we don't like some of the professional photos too! As it turns out renting a video camera for the weekend is more expensive then buying a go pro... who would have thought?

I love our GoPro but I wish we used it more often. It's so amazing for trips and vacation but when we don't go somewhere new or exciting it just sits at home. I also wish they had a bluetooth connection instead of the wifi because often times when I want to connect to it my phone has a slow connection without real wifi to download pics to my phone. I've just decided to use the micro chip instead to download pictures to tablet or laptop. Yes the battery also dies quickly. I also think I need to learn how to take pictures better because all of them are always blurry. It must be the settings we have it in.

For the wedding we are using it with the tripod so people take photo booth pictures with it. We're hoping we get good pictures with it.

Brenda I think we may get a tripod and have it setup for the reception too!

I finally picked one up recently and I am convinced I will get my moneys worth out of it, but I travel a lot. It was worth it for me because I wanted the underwater capabilities and to be able to take the extreme wide angle lens shots.

If you don't think you will use it for more than just the underwater excursions on your honeymoon I would say it probably is NOT worth it, because while the picture quality is good, it can't compare to a DSLR. I took about 900 pictures on my last trip, on both my SLR and the Gopro. Only a handful of the gopro shots made it into my final album.

Also, to the people who are mentioning putting a gopro on your registry... you will need time to figure out its capabilities/settings so that might be cutting it too close. We got ours right before we went on vacation and we did not have enough time to really learn how to use it so we sorta fumbled through our trip and didn't know how to change settings etc.

This photo is just a screen shot from a video we took. There is probably a better way to capture stills while filming but I was too lazy to read the manual.

ETA: One thing I was impressed by is the sound capabilities. You can hear the dolphins SO clearly in the videos. Smiley smile

I LOVE my gopro. I can't even begin to tell you about how much I love it. I actually use it instead of my regular digital camera all the time (though I will say if your other camera is a dslr its not going to be better for out of water pictures but it's way less bulky to carry). I can connect it to my phone and downtown the pictures and use my

Phone to take the pictures on the camera which is helpful when trying to get a distance picture. The only downfall is you can't take night pictures. I pretty much use mine all the time and I think the sound quality is perfect. I primarily use mine for pictures and not video though the videos I've taken at the beach of my dogs swimming have been perfect Example: underwater shot

Yes yes yes. I love mine. I have the head strap, the chest strap, the hand strap... the water floater... I use it for all kinds of things. I mainly use it for roller coaster ride videos.

The video photography thing was clutch. So what it is you take a video and every x seconds (you pick) it takes a picture automatically. Some of our best ones were from that

We actually don't have a camera at all besides our iPhones. So either way we need a camera. We are water people for sure. We also like hiking.
