Good ways to find the perfect wedding-night honeymoon suite?

Rachel, on August 28, 2019 at 3:59 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 8

Hi,

I'm not sure about any of the hotels in my area, and we're looking for a suite just for the wedding night. For those of you not doing hotel blocks, destination weddings, etc., what was a good source for you for this? We have a lot of budget and business hotels in the area we're looking, due to the airport, and I'd like to avoid that in favor of a nice honeymoon suite, preferably with an in-suite hot tub or something.

Other than blindly googling, did you use any particular search sites? Call around? I feel like I'm missing something.

I am in the same boat. Only I have a TON of high-end hotels that are a little too pricey for us. I am using hotels.com, hotwire.com, and hotel engine from work ( I do logistics for my job). I am having issues as well for a suite though that isn't overly expensive and is not in one of the hotels that are popular for the older generation. I know people like to call around and when you say it's for my wedding people like to offer free upgrades and stuff like that but I haven't called anyone yet. Good luck. I know I am needing some help with this as well.

Thanks! That's already something for me to go on. Have you noticed any places advertising a dedicated honeymoon suite, or is that typically just whatever room they have that is the best?

I haven't seen them advertising for their suites but I know on those sites they list the different rooms available and you can see pictures (sometimes if the hotel has them) and see if they are the honeymoon suite or the luxury king suite or something along those lines.

Are there any cute B&B's near you? We have a lot of hotels for the airport that cater to the business crowds, but we are also a destination spot so there are plenty of B&Bs in the area. You could also look into a small resort for the night if you have those where you live. I use Yelp and booking site reviews for everything I want to book.

We stayed at our blocked hotel and just got a large suite. It wasn't a "honeymoon" suite or anything but we checked in Thursday for our Saturday wedding so we brought champagne to have in the fridge and the hotel had nice robes & we were all set up. It didn't have an in room hot tub or anything, it was just a large room with a nice view. I'd just call or look around at local hotels.

We are having a destination wedding, but I looked at many hotels until I decided. I made a checklist as to what I wanted to have and went by that. I didn't want a hot tub, but definitely wanted a king-size bed, a beautiful view and a fireplace.

We are getting the most cost effective room at a high end hotel then crossing our fingers they give us a Wedding night upgrade! We will be arriving on our wedding gowns and a limo.. it’s also a Sunday night so chances are high! You should try that! Good luck!
