good source for perforated card stock?

Cabell, on April 15, 2010 at 9:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 8

I'm looking for Astrobrights perforated card stock (8.5"x11" sheets split up into either 6 or 8 pieces). So far the best price I've found is 250 sheets for $47, but I really don't need anywhere near that much. I want Galaxy Gold, Sunburst Yellow, and either Pulsar Pink or Fireball Fuschia; if I could find a variety pack that contained two or more of those, that would probably be the best solution.

Alternatively, is there any copy shop chain that has Astrobrights cardstock that could print and cut inserts for us? These are going to be little invites to post-wedding receptions in our parents' respective states, to include with our announcements after the wedding. I don't want to just print them on regular non-perforated cardstock and cut them myself, because I know if we did that there is no WAY they would come out anywhere close to straight. :p

I am getting my supplies from http://www.paperandmore.com

they will cut the card stock/paper to the size you want for $5.00 and the prices are very reasonable. I am not sure if they have your colors, I hope this helps- Good Luck

Thanks for the suggestion, but if I'm buying the paper myself I want to print it myself, so cutting to size doesn't really help--I think it would be too difficult to run through my home printer that way.

What size will your final cuts be? Not sure what you're making but one option would be to print a full 8.5x11 and then take it to kinkos or office max and have them to cut it for you. Perfing and scoring can be quite expensive. Having it cut after printing is probably the most cost effective option (if it will serve your purpose). If you absolutely need it perfed, check cutcardstock.com

Okay, so Kinko's will just cut it for me? That would probably be the ideal solution--the final cuts would be like 3.66x4.25 or 2.75x4.25, depending. Perforation is definitely expensive, so if Kinko's will do a plain paper-cutting job, that's definitely the way to go! Thanks, ladylee!

Check office max also. I priced paper-cutting at both places and found office max to be less expensive. They did a great job.

Thanks for the tip, Meg! Will do--at least I have some time on that.

And yeah, I got a variety pack with all the colors I wanted for $17.50 from Amazon, free shipping (we have Prime, so it will be here by Saturday). MUCH better than the prices on perforated cardstock!

Yeah that size is too small to try to feed thru your printer. Of course every region is different but in my area Office Max and Kinkos charge the same amount. It's $1.49 per cut. So if you did 2.75x4.25 you'd be looking at about 4 cuts. That's about $6. Now those prices are for cutting stacks of up to 150 pieces of paper. Definitely cheaper than perfing.

Sweet--we're definitely not going to need more than 150 sheets total, and we might even only need 3 cuts.
