Golf Course Brides!

FutureMrsS, on November 8, 2017 at 11:41 AM Posted in Planning 0 28

Who else is getting married on a golf course? Are you doing any sort of golf theme? I want to hear about why you chose a golf course and how you've had fun with the theme Smiley smile My FH and I chose our golf course, because that is where him and his father both worked when they were younger. I also have a special tie to golf courses with my grandparents. I'm looking into doing a golf themed save the date, but that might be about it.

We are doing a golf course! I picked it over banquet halls due to my wedding being the only event, the price was reasonable, cocktail hour will be outside by a gazebo, and they take the bridal party out around the course in golf carts to take pics!

We are technically getting married at a country club on a golf course. We aren't getting married on an actual course, but overlooking it, and some mountains. FH and his friends are going golfing the day before the wedding. I would let him go the day of the wedding but my DOC says the course is really long and he'll be tired. Crossing my fingers he doesn't get sun burnt. I'm making sure he puts a LOT of sunscreen on.

ETA- plus there's a few picture opportunities on the golf course so I want him to find those spots so we can take pictures there Smiley smile

We are getting married at a golf club. I also wanted a venue where my wedding would be the only event. Golf is not incorporated as a theme but we will take advantage of some golf cart shots!

I'm very excited for the golf carts too! Hoping to decorate one as the "get away" car lol. Our golf course is in a small valley and has beautiful views and a lot of trees. The reception area is a wooden "balcony"? not sure what to call it, but it over looks a river and the woods. I didn't consider my FH going golfing the day before! Good think you thought about sunblock!!

We are getting married on a golf course but no golf theme. The amenities and price couldn't be beat.

We're looking at a few golf course/country club type of places because they look gorgeous and the prices are great for all inclusive, but really neither of us are golfers.

We got married at a country club in my husband's hometown! It's a total golf town and they're all golfers!

We did incorporate a few golf touches, but I also had to cut some ideas last minute due to weather or from running out of time and budget Smiley smile We had a custom wedding monogram where I incorporated golf clubs and we used the monogram on our koozies (guest favors) and as a sticker on welcome bags. We also paid wayyy too much to use the Pinehurst logo on the other side of our koozies - but it was something my husband really wanted!

We also had a golf themed groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner!

Golf ideas that got rained out:

I was most upset about our rehearsal dinner plans Smiley sad We had planned a cocktail hour to kick off the rehearsal dinner and they were going to set up a bar next to the putting green for us so guests could mingle, drink, and putt!

We were also going to take ring pictures with golf balls & tees, and we were going to make a golf cart exit:

Other fun golf ideas: personalized golf tees, custom golf balls, and golf puns Smiley smile

We're both golfers but not getting married at a golf course. We found an awesome boutique hotel that fit our needs better than any of the country clubs or golf courses we found.

We are getting married on a golf course that my FH frequently golfs on... not doing anything golf related in the wedding. The venue is throwing in a round for the BP/GMs Smiley smile

Yes, we are! I really fell in love with the grounds and the venue itself is very timeless. One side overlooks the golf course, the other side overlooks a river! We are not using golf as a theme.

I had my first wedding at a golf coarse. I chose the venue because the greenery was so gorgeous. It was a beautiful backdrop for a wedding and the restaurant on the golf coarse catered it. Plus it was an amazing deal. 750 to rent the venue for ceremony AND reception and $18 a person for authentic Italian food.

Ours is at a Country Club at a golf course. No golf theme or ties. Good price and we loved the views!
