gold and royal blue wedding.....help needed

Have blue in the flowers, have blue in the place settings, tie in it other places in your decor.

Thxz for the suggestion. Do you think the royal blue tie and vest would clash with the gold bridemaid dress?

Those are my sorority colors :-) I'd say add blue anywhere you need a pop of color, like flowers, shoes, ribbon etc...

Metallics are a neutral, they go with everything, so no, the blue will not clash with the gold.

Depending on your budget, you can get blue linens and gold chargers. There are really not many royal blue flowers, so you will not have many options. Are you thinking of using yellow flowers too? Or you could look into getting brown flowers (chocolate cosmos and such)

You could always go to david's bridals website and play around with the "dress my wedding party." You can use it to see if you like the colors together, even if your Bridesmaid dresses are not from there.

Do you already have a venue? You want to make sure your colors will go with your location. I can't tell you how often I see a post of a bride asking for help because she feels the venue clashes with her colors.

I think if you get the right color gold it will come off well with the vests. THe gold can't be too yellow...maybe more of that lighter color gold IMO...

Thanks everyone for the suggestion. And thank you Hayley for reminding me of the reception decor. The decor might clash because the room I chose look like an indoor garden. There is greenry that abounds the room.

Hayley, I was thinking the men in black tux with the blue, and the females with gold bridesmaid dresses. However now my FI is stuck on wearing a white suit with gold vest and tie.

Green is a neutral too. The last blue dress picture has green cymbidium orchids with it... and I think it still looks great with all the pictures. It will all look beautiful together.

Nothing wrong with the Groom wearing white and the men wearing black.

If your main color is gold use Royal Blue as your accent. You can bring it in the flowers. The guys can wear royal blue vests with a gold tie? Or maybe a black tux, black vest and gold tie with royal blue flowers. Your accent color is supposed to be just that, an accent. Use the Royal blue in a small way.

You could add flowers, tablecloths, chair ties. There are plenty accessories to add. Add it in your cake, I have a white cake with the blue designs on it, you could add gold ribbon, I have blue ribbon, with rhinestones on top of the ribbon.

I love your colors, mine are royal blue, silver, and black, because I have a Raiders fan for a fh.

I think that the gold dresses and royal blue on the men will work great!
