I'm on a similar journey and still haven't decided real vs fake. Be ready with some "inspiration" pieces and ideas for your florist bc that's the first thing they ask. I I literally am clueless of flowers and just go by looks lol,,,, so I showed her the pics of the fake bouquets that I like on Something Borrowed Blooms. She said that really helped and that she can definitely try to imitate them. Good luck!

View Quoted Comment Are you near KC? So I’m doing Hyvee for my boutonnières because I am doing catering through them so I get a percentage off if I also use flowers. I am using someone my photographer recommended who recently got into floral. Here is one of her pics.

This might be too late but I also have allergy issues, so I specifically asked the florist to avoid any flowers that are especially attractive to bees and anything with a very strong scent.
