Going out after

CDickman, on June 3, 2019 at 9:31 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9
We are thinking of going g out after wedding I have a few questions who pays for the drinks? Can everyone pay for own drinks at the bar? What are you other brides wearing to go out?

We are having a lunch wedding ceremony & reception which ends at 4 pm. We rented out the hotel bar for the group after the wedding, but it will be a no host event (everyone will pay for their own drink(s)).

Ok that was my plan but the. Since we are inviting people out I did not know if it will be rude. I found a cute short white dress I will probably change Into that.

Yeah I found this long white dress from New York & Company. It’s cute & cheap - lol my way to go after the cost of the wedding.
i put on the website that a no-host after party will occur at the hotel bar after the reception. There is a shuttle from the hotel to the venue an hour before the ceremony & a shuttle from the venue to the hotel from 3:30 - 4:30.

I definitely think whoever joins you for the after party should expect to pay for their own drinks. Especially if it’s at a bar (the same thing we were thinking of). I just read something on here the other day about an after party dress and honestly it didn’t cross my mind until then. I definitely want to find one. Something cute, still says I’m the bride but way less expensive than the wedding gown! Have fun!!!

Honestly I am almost 90% positive that people will be paying for your drinks because of the fact you guys just got married. LOL

Have fun! Such a great idea!

Our wedding ends a little early (10PM) so we are planning on staying out later. I think I might find a cute white dress from Lulus to change into. It'll just be casual, so everyone can pay for their own drinks.

Everyone on their own. I'm already paying for your 4 hour long open bar, I'm not paying for your after party drinks either.

We are planning to rent a party bus and get a section at one of the clubs here and then everyone is on their own after that ... I'm also getting a cute white dress and maybe a cute veil to wear so people know we just got married! One of my mothers and my FH couldn't understand why I just wouldn't wear my wedding dress out. They both have clearly lost their minds. Why would I be in the club in a wedding dress...

Our hotel bar is staying open until 2 AM, our wedding ends at 11 PM. If we go, we won't pay for drinks. I wouldn't expect the bride & groom too especially if it was a casual optional after party.
