Hi everyone! Our wedding reception isn’t fancy by ANY means, but it’s still been expensive! We are only 2 weeks away and realized we are about 50 people over budget. Hi everyone! Our wedding reception isn’t fancy by ANY means, but it’s still been expensive! We are only 2 weeks away and realized we are about 50 people over budget. Therefore we have to spend a bit more on extra tables, dinnnerware, snacks, etc. I decided to open up a credit card and go into debt by about $350, and it was honestly one of my best decisions. I was so stressed and honestly unsure if the funds would even be there in time to get everything, and it’s almost here... now we are about 90% done with gathering everything and preparing it all, and I can honestly say going into a little debt made me finally get excited for this thing!! Woohoo!

It was a store card through amazon and we financed it for 6 months interest free. Not too much damage & I’m young and need to build credit anyways. I think it worked in our favor!

Did you go into debt for your wedding? Was it a lot or a little? Any horror stories or small victories like me? I don’t know what the “norm” is so I’d love to hear your experiences!

Hope y’all are having a blessed weekend ❤️

We aren't going into any debt, but we are lucky enough to have my parents pay for the whole thing (they aren't going into debt either). I CERTAINLY think $350 is worth it!
