My bestfriend is having a celebration of union this Saturday and talking about having a girls night the night before when we have to be at the church ready by 12pm the next day. Mind you she's already married and is calling this a girls night (aka bachelorette party). She asked for head count of who all would be there and no one responded... Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy talk? Is it rude to tell her I'm not a fan of it? Personally bc I am not going to be in a great mood on the day of her ceremony bc I'm going to be tired and hungover. What should I do? I don't wanna ditch out on her this weekend but I'm already traveling four hours to attend Saturday and I'd just be arriving Friday night.

Nooo, never drink before anything when you want to look your best the next day! She wouldn't want to risk looking exhausted and feeling dehydrated and hungover.

Noooooo. I would never. I thought about going out for a drink after our rehearsal dinner but I decided to go home and sleep instead. I would not want to be dealing with a hangover the morning of my wedding.

Update: I was afraid to do it bc of her possible reaction but I told her to do a game night with wine the night before and we all take it in early and she agreed. Only bc I want us looking and feeling our best. We will go out on the town after the ceremony. Thanks for your input y'all! Y'all helped me get out of a serious pickle.

I can see how this could be a bad idea, nobody needs to be hungover and exhausted on the day of a wedding.... id voice my opinion as nicely as possible.

That...sounds like a disaster. I don't think you are under any obligation to go, and I guess if you really feel uncomfortable not going, you could just drink water. That sounds like no fun at all, I hope you are able to bow out without any issues!

I would have been a MESS if I had done something like that the night before my wedding. Could you suggest doing something a little bit more low-key instead? That way she still gets her girl time but nobody is a zombie the next day lol.
