For ladies that wear glasses are you going to/did you wear your glasses on your wedding day?

I'll be wearing my contacts. I don't feel as "dressed up" when I'm wearing my glasses

I'm going to be wearing contacts. I've never had a problem with putting in or taking out my contacts when I have fake nails. I love my glasses but I think I look better without them. Plus I wont have to worry about wiping my glasses off every 10 minutes because they're dirty.

I don't think I will be wearing mine...I need them to read, drive, look at a computer...ok...all the time...but I will let my fiance have them in his pocket at the altar...LOL.

    Vain, yeah, I know. LOL

I actually just had my yearly eye examine about two months ago & opted for contacts. I've only worn glasses for about 5 years & everyone LOVES them on me, but for my wedding, I want to be more "dressed up."

This is also going to sound super crazy/over-the-top-bride-brain-like, but since my prescription changed I was able to upgrade my glasses too & so I chose Tiffany frames because Tiffany blue is one my colors for the wedding so I might break them out for a few pictures since glasses are very 'me' & because they match haha.

Great thinking Stephanie. Getting glasses to match your wedding. May have to try that since I'll be getting new ones before mine.

I'm going to wear my contacts at the beginning, but they usually start to bother me after a few hours so I'll have my glasses on hand if I need to switch later in the night.

I'm near sighted and I'm not wearing my glasses that day but I will have a BM or my mom hold them for me just in case I need them.

I can see okay, so I'm not wearing for the ceremony, but will for the reception.

I am wearing contacts. My eyes are already blue but I may get some enhancers. Never had them before but I just ordered them today and they should be here in a few days! I am going to try them when they come in and if I like them I will wear them. if not then I will use my normal contacts.

I have worn glasses for over 20 years but 10 years ago I tried contacts and now I love them both! I really think it depends on your personality

I decided to go with contacts- I had never worn contacts before so i got them a few months before the wedding- i struggled with them at first but now love them and am sticking with the contacts permanently- my glasses were big thick black glasses and I'm so glad i didn't have them in my wedding pics Smiley smile

I didn't wear mine because most of the time they're on top of my head instead of on my face. I got contacts so I could see distances, but then I couldn't see up close. I didn't want to not be able to look at my dude while I was saying my vows, so I went without the contacts too. The downside to that was that I couldn't see his face when he saw me for the first time, but I could easily look into his eyes during the vows. If I had to do it again, I still wouldn't wear the glasses....but I'd find contacts that allowed me to see up close as well as distances.

I wear contacts. However, at the time, I also needed reading glasses on top of them to be able to read. (My contact lens prescription has since been adjusted so I no longer need reading glasses.) What I did was to put the reading glasses on a table under the chuppah (wedding canopy). That way, I didn't need to wear them while walking up the aisle, but they were still there so I could read the ceremony, sign the ketubah (formal Jewish marriage contract), etc.

Dawn, I wear 1 contact lens for distance and the other is for mid-range & up close. No, it doesn't make me seasick, LOL.

I always wear my glasses at work and my contacts when I go out. So I'll most definitely be wearing my contacts that day.

@soon to be Mrs. K- Thank you so much for the advice! Unfortunately, we recently moved in August and haven't seen the eye doctor yet since our move... May try and find a cheap fix.

@Emily, Yes & they are super cute with a few different styles :]. I wear glasses like 90% of the time so it was most certainly worth it to this blind girl to find something that I love since I'll be wearing these particular frames for the next 2ish years at least! I'd post a picture, but I don't want to hijack your thread haha.

I'm going to try to wear daily disposables but carry my glasses close by. I'm allergic to reusable contacts and I haven't tried daily disposables in years. If my eyes start to act up I'll swap out.
