Giving Tuesday- How do you plan to give back?!

Neeva, on November 24, 2020 at 1:07 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3

Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving!

With our wedding registry, we chose a variety of charities we support (Zola feature) and many of our guests took advantage and donated to causes in our honor! I've also seen articles of couples giving back during their wedding through donating extra food. Something small goes a long way!

Anyone found a way to incorporate giving back into their wedding plans?

That was a nice idea. We didn't incorporate giving back into our wedding but we did give away a dinner to a family in need for thanksgiving and we also give away toys and clothes to families and need for Christmas.

After the wedding? Not sure. Donating leftover food to a local shelter is a great idea if your caterer allows it. Donate leftover flowers to a local funeral home. I've also heard there are programs where you can donate your dress and accessories.

From a non-wedding perspective, it was a yearly tradition to donate food to the local food banks and animal shelters...and take part in the Giving Tree at the mall that the Salvation Army runs for low income kids and elderly.
