Yes we loved it! Have you guys chose your venue yet? I was gonna add Joe's and Jackstack but then all my food suggestions would be BBQ lol. I was trying to think of some non bbq places to add. I put Kaleidoscope as a suggestion for families since that's something free they could do!

That was the very first venue we toured!! I really liked it there, are you using both the upstairs and the downstairs? It's very pretty on the inside which will help you save on décor for sure!

I am using the upstairs and downstairs. Our DJ station will be upstairs and the dance floor, our DJ has done weddings at this venue so that was also a plus for us. I am making the centerpieces for the wedding because I like you said I don't need a lot of decor!

We love westport! I am originally from Ann Arbor, MI. Hopcat was my favorite bar there, now it's in Westport! They have really good beer!

We are using Cellar 222 for our September 2020 wedding. Was it helpful to list things to do on your website? Did you find a hotel willing to block out rooms at a reasonable price? I was thinking of doing some light decorating with a wine theme too! Thanks.

View Quoted Comment We are in KC with an 8/2020 wedding in Midtown-ish and hotel blocks in the Crossroads since they can easily get transport around the downtown areas for free on the Streetcar.



I found the best deals to be Hampton In Crossroads (North part of Crossroads) and Home 2 Suites Crossroads, which will limit your total number of rooms but is closer to your venue. However, rates can may vary seasonally and you may find better deals in September at other places.
Most hotels we found will book 10-20 rooms without any monetary guarantee or deposit, then as they fill up will add more.

We are also listing things to do on our website since most of our guests are out of town.

Don’t forget to ask if they have any deals for a bridal suite, some will give you a discount or free room if your friends/family book 20 or so guest rooms.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Cellar 222 is a wonderful venue. I absolutely loved it. I had a Friday wedding and most of out guests stayed until Saturday. They found it really helpful that i supplied them with a list of activities and places to go! I found a few hotels that gave us a great rate ranging between $100-$150. That was the lowest I found. Marriott courtyard was where we booked. Also the Fairfield Inn Union Hill had a great deal!
