Gifts for wedding party , ushers, flower girl etc

Emily, on October 18, 2019 at 7:24 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
What are you giving for gifts at the rehearsal dinner? Let me first say we have a small wedding party. We have two groomsmen and two bridesmaid . Then two ushers who are niece and nephew. We have a flower girl niece who is three years old.
I am covering the hair and makeup for the two bridesmaid and one female usher. ( She is really more like a junior bridesmaid but Including her in all the hair and makeup fun). I also bought robes to wear day of. Could the robes and makeup be the gift for them? If not, what do I do ?

suggestions for the groomsmen ?
They both like golf and alcohol . Haha ! But seriously, what ideas do you have ?

You could have a couple golf balls engraved/painted/stamped with their name on it? They can use it in their games and they hopefully won't lose it (lol) because it has their name on it. For the girls I think maybe an accessory to go with their hair or makeup? Having something physical is just a nice token of thanks. I was in a wedding where the bride gave us all earrings as a gift and we wore them to the wedding!

Paying for their hair and makeup and getting them robes are great gifts and I’m sure they appreciate it. Don’t feel the need to over-gift. If you want to get them something else you definitely can but I don’t think you should feel obligated to. Good luck!

Those are great gifts! Maybe give them the robes at the rehearsal and let them know you're covering hair/makeup? You can get them a shawl or cup or something small too.
We got our groomsmen shaving kits and matching socks! A few golf balls, some tees, or even golf loved might be an idea. Maybe matching socks too? Or tie if it isn't part of their tux.
Oi got my bridesmaids matching button down shirts and leggings. I also got them monogrammed purses, glasses with their names on it, personalized hangers and earrings. My flower girl I got an outfit to wear when we were getting ready. And my ring bearers I honestly don't remember but some kiddy stuff.
Paying for hair and makeup is big! So you certainly don't have to get much else. You can find groomsmen gifts on Etsy or Amazon. Maybe small bottles of liquor and a flask or glass?
