Gifts for parents who helped financially..?

Katelyn, on August 3, 2016 at 4:21 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 15

Anyone who had help financially for the wedding from their parents.. Did you give a thank you gift to them after the wedding? If so, what did you do for them? My dad is helping out a lot and I feel like I should do something for him, but I'm not sure what. Any ideas ladies?

We just did some gift cards to a few restaurants they like...and then once I got the wedding pics I made a wedding book of photos and framed a few pics for them.

Pretty similar to Liz- we'll get my parents a gift card to a nice restaurant and when the pictures are in I'll have a large family photo framed for them. His parents are paying for the RD and we'll get each of them (divorced) family pictures as well, but not a gift card.

My ex and I paid for all of the parents to have a nice set of pro prints from the wedding day. I filled an album for each set and picked two 8 x 10s that I thought would be meaningful to each set.

That's a good idea everyone. A nice photo book from shuttryfly sounds like a great idea.

Both parents have helped us along the way! For before the wedding gifts for the moms we are getting them engraved wine glasses with a handkerchief tucked inside each. For the dads engraved mason jar mugs. Then for each of them a cute shirt that say their designation, like MOB, MOG ect. Then, like everyone else, a really nice photo album for each after the wedding. And of course lots of thank yous and love along the way!

I'm buying parent albums for FHs parents and my parents since they both contributed financially, along with a note and a "little something" I find to add in.

We did a wine tasting and private tour of winery for his parents, a night at a resort in the woods for my parents and a big blown up picture of my dad and I fishing with the words "she thinks we're just fishing" on it (that's our father daughter dance song).
