Gifts for guests??

This probably isn't what you're looking for, but my partner and I racked our brains about this for a long time. After much searching, we decided that in lieu of wedding favors we are donating to a charity we are passionate about. We have signs to let people know and we feel pretty good about our choice. We will have some stuff to hand out during the reception (like glow sticks, flip flops, etc.) that guests can take home if they really want something. Feedback from our friends regarding this idea has been really positive. One friend said they've never kept a wedding favor and they always end up in the trash. That made us feel better about this decision.

Chris's suggestion is a great one. Usually, edible favors are the best if you are set on doing them. Things like shot glasses and the like usually get tossed after awhile. However, people will generally eat the cookies, m&ms, etc.

You could do a mini swag bag with individual Tylenol packs, on theme snacks like candy, cookies, gum, a bottle of water, ear plugs.
