Gift ideas

Squeezy Bean, on September 5, 2020 at 12:04 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 5

I'm compiling a parcel for my FH to cheer him up, as we live in separate countries and can't see each other for now. I've already got him a comic strip book which I know he will like, but I'm looking for additional ideas. We're both a fan of practical presents. Smiley gift

He's a writer, drummer, guitarist, with an eclectic music taste who likes coffee, space, science, medical things, horror movies.

Suggestions please! Smiley smile

You could get a fun themed coffee mug (music, science, etc - check on Etsy) and a package of his favorite coffee, a notebook (or whatever he uses most to write in), a framed picture of you two, and a handwritten note from you!

When a friend of mine was in a long distance relationship she sent her partner a care package filled with envelopes and smaller boxes that said things like "Open when you miss me", "Open when you're having a good day", "Open when you're feeling creative", etc. Each one had something relevant to when it should be opened, like "Open when you miss me" had a photo of them together. Sometimes it was a sweet little quote or letter, other times it could be something funny like "Open when you're hungry" with his favorite snack that he missed from home (because he was currently in Australia). There are definitely ways to include both sentimental and practical gifts in there, and then it can be spaced out instead of opened all at once.

Coffee beans from a shop that you’ve both been to together? Guitar picks? A nice notebook and pen if he likes to write by hand. Maybe something that explains some hand stretches if he doesn’t already know them to keep his hands happy in between all that drumming, strumming, writing and typing. 😁

Do you have a signature perfume that you wear every day? Or does he favor one of your perfumes? Depending on how sentimental he may be, perhaps you can spray a little on a pillowcase or T-shirt and he can think of you when he uses it the first time. ❤️

Definitely snacks are a good suggestion, especially being in separate countries. Is there a gift card towards an activity he would enjoy that you could get? I usually lean towards getting FH a planned activity kind of gift because it's something we can do together (since I'm kinda his favorite person and everything 😅). Or if there's something like a class or course he wants to take in his free time?
